About Us
Our Mission
At Soles for Smiles, our mission is simple - to put a smile on the face of every person we serve by providing them with quality athletic shoes. We believe that access to proper footwear is a basic human need, and can make a real difference in someone's quality of life, health, and ability to participate in physical activity.
Our nonprofit was founded in 2024 due to the staggering number of gently used sports shoes that were ending up in landfills every year. We knew these shoes could be repurposed to benefit underprivileged individuals and families who could not afford proper athletic footwear.
That's why we established Soles for Smiles - to collect these donated shoes, , and get them onto the feet of those who need them most. We work with local homeless shelters, youth organizations, refugee programs, and other community groups to identify individuals and families facing financial hardship, and provide them with the athletic shoes that can help improve their health, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

Our Work
At the heart of Soles for Smiles is our mission to provide quality athletic shoes to those in need. Through our shoe donation and distribution programs, we aim to make a tangible, positive impact on the lives of individuals and families facing hardship in our community.
Here's a closer look at how we carry out our work:
Shoe Collection
The first step is gathering the donated shoes. We will collect these at various sports events where people can drop off their gently used shoes which will then be collected.
Sorting & Distribution
After the shoes are refurbished, we sort them by size and type. This allows us to efficiently match them with the specific needs of the individuals and families we serve. We then coordinate with our community partner organizations to deliver the shoes directly to those who need them.
Community Partnerships
A key part of our work is building strong relationships with local youth programs, refugee organizations, and other groups that serve populations in need. These partnerships allow us to identify individuals who could benefit from receiving athletic shoes, and ensure the shoes are distributed fairly and directly to those who need them most.

Local Empowerment
Many people have gently worn shoes just lying around as kids grow fast. If you take 15 minutes out of your day to donate these any of these gently worn shoes you would be making someone in needs day.

Its Free
Donating these shoes isn't costing you anything as many people have old shoes just lying around. These shoes would be thrown away anyways so why not give them to someone who could use them.

Its simple
Donating these shoes couldn't be easier there will be a place for you to donate these shoes somewhere at a local sports tournament, all you have to do is bring your gently worn shoes and donate them.
